Howlin’ Wolf’s Boss Babe Bar Takeover

International Women’s Day will see a Boos Babe Bar Takeover at Howlin’ Wolf in Wollongong, as the Good Times Only Group, with support from Spirits Platform, welcome some of the industry’s finest to the bar.

Monday 8 March will see Atlanta Pahulu (Bulletin Place), Alex Dahlenburg (Mjølner), Lucy Pallet Jones (Silk and Grit) and Zoe Hookway (Four Pillars Lab) join GTO’s Krips Long (Howlin Wolf), Amy Thompson (Dagwood Bar + Kitchen) and the Boss Babe Crew (Good Times Only Group) for the epic bar takeover.

Various proceeds from the event are being donated to UN Women.

Good Times Only is releasing a limited edition IWD21 Shirt, designed by Mint Illustrations, with all profits from the shirt sales also going to UN Women.

The senior women of the Good Times Only Group, in partnership with Spirits Platform created the Boss Bar Takeover to host Boss Babes from across the industry, strengthen the network of women in hospitality and also raise money for UN Women.

The global UN Women theme for International Women’s Day 2021 is “Women in Leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world”.

Good Times Only said: “As a branch of the United Nations, UN Women encompasses every nation the globe over, truly encompassing the spirit of women’s week and gender equality through inclusion that transcends cultural and racial borders. Monday 8 March will be a showcase of that same unity with female bartenders from Sydney and the Wollongong area joining to commemorate International Women’s Day Hospo style.”

Nip of Courage is also hosting an International Women’s Day event, as it celebrates women’s achievements in Australia’s craft distilling industry with a lunch at Bloodwood Newtown on Sunday March 7.
