A wave of new hospitality and nightlife ventures has seen Kings Cross reclaim its former glory as a late-night destination, with more than 30 venues in the area now working together on the Light Up The Cross campaign. Capturing the vibrant past of Kings Cross while creating a sustainable future for the local night time economy, Light Up The Cross will kick off on Friday in the Kings Cross Quarter, a micro-precinct of venues new and old, with participating venues hosting exclusive after-dark offerings, promotions and events.

Congratulations to Caretakers Cottage, Maybe Sammy and Byrdi, who all made The World's 50 Best Bars 2024 list, ranking among the best global hospitality venues!

This year, @caretakers.cottage climbed two places to number 21, triumphantly claiming the title of Best Bar in Australasia, followed closely by @maybe_sammy_sydney in 26th place and @byrdimelb, a new entrant to the list in 35th place.

House Made Hospitality will unveil the two remaining spaces in its multi-venue precinct at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth today, opening new terrace bar @wentworthbar.sydney and Vietnamese-French restaurant @deltarue.sydney. Designed to emulate a tropical sanctuary among the cityscape, Wentworth Bar showcases an expansive spirit collection, with a vibrant cocktail menu that balances easy-drinking single serves with large-format party cocktails, accompanied by a short, but considered all-day food menu. Wentworth Bar opens today alongside Delta Rue, complete with a roaming bánh mì trolley and an east-meets-west approach to dining, joining @bartilda.sydney and @tildadining.sydney at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth precinct.

A year since Suntory Oceania was announced, the drinks giant invited industry partners to immerse themselves in its 125-year legacy at the Suntory House experience while offering a glimpse into the company’s bold ambitions for the future.

The exclusive activation made its debut at SXSW Sydney, attended by more than 350 of Suntory’s partners in Oceania and bringing the Suntory spirit to life like never before.

Visitors to Suntory House were guided through five immersive spaces including the Light Waterfall, Streets of Tokyo and Spirits Reimagined – The Founders Way, all showcasing Suntory’s ambitions for the ANZ region, the legacy behind the portfolio and its sustainability commitments. Experiences included a Japanese omakase-style menu, vibrant streetscapes, an intimate bar, and a digital garden, representing everything from the neon-lit streets of Tokyo to traditional Japanese architecture.
