Applejack Hospitality is calling on bartenders to get creative with tequila to take part in the inaugural Northside Cocktail Competition at SoCal Neutral Bay to celebrate National Tequila Day.
The competition will be judged by a well-respected trio of renowned industry luminaries in Natalie Ng, Evan Stroeve and Stuart Gregor.
To take part Applejack is inviting Sydney’s best bartenders to develop a cocktail that fits the theme ‘the spirit of Mexico’ including 45ml of Calle 23 Blanco. Take a photo of your creation incorporating the bottle and submit it to hello@applejackhospitality.com.au for a chance to compete on the day.

The prizes on offer are:
- 1st Place: $1,000 + Calle 23 Anejo
- 2nd Place: $250 SoCal voucher + Calle 23 Reposado
- 3rd Place: Calle 23 Blanco
The final will take place at SoCal, 1 Young Street, Neutral Bay and will feature a Calle 23 Tequila Masterclass, hosted by Vanguard Luxury Brands, the competition and then an industry party. What a great way to spend a Monday night!
