The Australian distribution of Hine Cognac has moved from island2island to Vanguard Luxury Brands, with immediate effect.
Hine is one of the oldest Cognac houses in existence, having been established 250 years ago. The Cognac brand’s signature is its single vintages, which are matured in the United Kingdom.
Vanguard’s owner and founder, James France said: “Island2island has done an excellent job with Hine in the Australian market. We thank their entire team for their great work on this unique brand and also for being so helpful in the transition over to Vanguard.
“We look forward to picking up where island2island left off, and to working with our network of bartender and retailer friends to continue Hine’s growth in Australia.”
Island2island Managing Director, Justin Casey, added: “It has been a pleasure to distribute Hine in this market. Over the years, we have seen a growing appetite for cognac and cognac cocktails and the Hine brand is now well established in this market.
“We wish Hine and Vanguard all the very best for the future.”
The House of Hine draws its grapes from the Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne regions and is the only Cognac with a Royal Warrant. The brand is currently under the watchful eye of sixth-generation family member Bernard Hine and this move to Vanguard starts from today, 12 March 2018 and covers all Hine expressions in Australia.
