With the Margarita becoming such an iconic drink, it has been opened up to variations on a theme, here’s a range of Margarita cocktail recipes:
THE ORIGINAL MARGARITA
Ingredients:
- 30ml Blanco Tequila
- 30 ml Cointreau
- 30 ml Fresh lime juice
Directions:
- Make a salt rim on your glass
- Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice
- Shake vigorously until well chilled
- Strain into a Margarita glass
- Garnish with a lime wheel
BANGALAY DINING’S SIGNATURE SALTBUSH MARGARITA
Ingredients:
- 45ml Altos Tequila
- 30ml lime juice (freshly squeezed preferable)
- 15ml Continental Triple Sec
- 10ml agave syrup
- Saltbush salt (for the rim of glass)
Directions:
- Run a slice of lime around the rim of a rocks glass, and coat in saltbush salt.
- Add tequila, lime juice, triple sec and agave into Boston cocktail shaker. Shake.
- Strain into rocks glass over a large ice cube. Enjoy
