Coleman’s Academy launches national program

Coleman’s Academy has announced a partnership with Jameson Irish Whiskey as well as the launch of a national events program, expanding its reach further around the country.

Coleman’s Academy is a not-for-profit organisation that focuses on empowering and inspiring women in the hospitality industry. Launched in Sydney in 2015, it cultivates an environment that formulates new ideas for the advancement and mentoring of female identifying people working in hospitality.

Previous speakers have included Tash Conte, Jessica Arnott, Caroline Childerley, Dee Ryan, Harriet Leigh, Ali Dedianko and Emily Wheldon.

Over the last six months, Coleman’s Academy launched in Brisbane, and hosted satellite events in both Melbourne and London. Now, with the support of Jameson, they’re launching a national events program – adding regular events in Melbourne and Perth to their schedule.

“This partnership allows us to take Coleman’s to the next level and really engage with the women in hospitality across the country,” said Paige Aubort, Founder of Coleman’s Academy (pictured above).

“Working with a brand like Jameson is incredible, especially with how community focused their team is.”

As Aubort explains, with the addition of Melbourne and Perth events, the current scheduling will change slightly, and is also expanding from 10 per year to 22.

“To allow us to present meaningful, knowledge-building and thought-provoking events across the country, we will be hosting quarterly events in Perth, Melbourne and Brisbane, with the aim to increase the frequency of events in each city in the future.

“We’ll keep things as they are in Sydney, hosting them monthly.”

As Coleman’s evolves, so too does the programming of the events. Each event will be more focused on meaningful storytelling and tangible knowledge building, giving the people who attend and watch the content afterwards real and tangible points to take away and apply to their life and work.

Attendees to Coleman’s Academy events are welcomed with food and drinks from Jameson on arrival, with a focus on supporting local, independent businesses. The two presenters then speak independently with a Q&A session after each talk.

Every session is filmed, providing access for anyone to engage with the content and learnings presented at each session. Previous sessions can be viewed on the Coleman’s Academy Vimeo page.
