In a bid to have consumers rethink whisky, Glenfiddich has collaborated with soda factory PS Soda at PS40 bar, to create a range of experimental highballs which will be available around Australia.
Glenfiddich’s Brand Ambassador, Luke Sanderson, worked closely with Michael Chiem and Thor Bergquist of PS40 to create a limited run of two bespoke sodas, PS Pandan Barley and PS Strawberry Gum Leaf. These soda have been crafted to pair with the first two whiskies from the Glenfiddich Experimental Series, the Glenfiddich IPA and Project XX.
“PS40 are constantly coming up with new ways to innovate and experiment within their category. Much like Glenfiddich, they strive to create new and exciting concepts, so they’re the perfect partner for us to highlight our ability to push boundaries and be mavericks in our respective fields,” Sanderson said.
Bergquist who is co-owner of PS40 added: “We love working with creative leaders and when Glenfiddich told us about the experimental journey that they were taking Scotch whisky on, we got super excited. It’s not often you see brands stepping out of the box and giving us incredible freedom to create unique serves to match them.”
As well as partnering with Zeta Bar and Hotel Ravesis in Sydney and Mc Collins and Whisky Den Melbourne, the highball menu will be available across 200 venues national from September and will be available on tap at PS40.
This latest collaboration coincides with the recent launch of the Glenfiddich Winter Storm, the latest in the Experimental Series, a 21-year-old Glenfiddich finished in Canadian Icewine casks.
