Archie Rose has added 10 new staff to its ranks since the beginning of 2018, as the distiller looks to continue its strong growth.
With the company already constructing a second distillery and bond store close to its original home in Sydney, founder Will Edwards now has a team of over 25 full- and part-time staff across production, operations, hospitality, sales and marketing.
“I know it’s cliched, but you’re genuinely only as good as the quality of your people, and we’ve been incredibly fortunate to be able to build on our already outstanding team with the addition of 10 awesome new staff and, for the first time, the creation of a marketing department,” Edwards said.
“The level of talent, ability and creativity within our business is amazing, but it’s still trumped by the intense passion everyone who works here has for what they do, Archie Rose and the industry more broadly.
“On top of that, we are particularly proud that in what is often considered a male dominated industry, 40 per cent of our distillers and 50 per cent of our leadership team are women.”
The new recruits include acclaimed bartender, Philip Gandevia as QLD Ambassador; Victoria Tulloch as Head of Marketing; Amanda Jennings in marketing, Martyn Shoppee as Production Manager; two new distillers, Allan Luks and Crystelle Evangelista; Niki Tagliapietra in administration/accounts; and Maria Santiago, Keevon Williams and Michael Perelini in the Archie Rose Bar.
The distiller revealed last week that construction is underway on a second distillery in Botany, which will increase its production capacity and also turn the existing distillery in Rosebery into a dedicated research and development facility.
