Three World Class bars heading to Shell House, Sydney

The Everleigh

Three iconic bars from around the world are heading to Sydney’s Shell House to takeover its Clocktower Bar and bring their own touches of brilliance.

Melbourne’s The Everleigh kicks off the takeovers today, with Michael and Zara Madrusan bringing their fine drinking experiences, from this iconic bar which is celebrating 10 years of service. Zara and Michael have formed Made in the Shade Group, which owns The Everleigh plus Bar Marguax, Heartbreaker and Connie’s.

The Everleigh takeover is presented by Johnnie Walker and will be at the Clocktower Bar tonight and tomorrow.

Next week (May 24-26) sees New York’s Attaboy takeover the Clocktower Bar thanks to Aviation Gin.

Michael McIlroy and Sam Ross of Attaboy are considered some of the world’s most influential and highly respected figures in the world of cocktails and spirits. The pair made Milk & Honey what it was – arguably the most influential bar of the 21st Century – until taking it over and relaunching as Attaboy.

The finally the World Class takeovers see Licoreria Limantour from Mexico City come into town, perhaps not surprisingly, thanks to Don Julio.

Licoreria Limantour is a Mexico City institution, recently voted the Best Bar in North America it has an electric atmosphere which complements a unique intimacy that welcomes in even those looking for a quiet drink.

Licoreria Limantour will takeover the Clocktower Bar 21-23 June.
