Restaurant Hubert is this month hosting an ‘exclusive and wildly inventive cabaret show’ in its iconic space, the Theatre Royale.
In a statement about the event, Swillhouse said: “September’s La Vie Royale guests bring a blend of postmodern Burlesque and psychedelic metamorphosis to the Theatre Royale stage. For the first time within these walls, Justin Shoulder and Bella Louche.”
Justin is an artist who often performs under the pseudonym, Phasmahammer, this elevated performance promises to deliver to the audience a master of mechanical movement, illusion and cybernetic mimicry.
Bella brings an air of exhibitionism and allure to the Theatre Royale, an artist who delivers a performance delightfully described as “burlesque at its best”.
Marlena Dali will also make their first foray into the Theatre Royle for September’s La Vie Royale, bringing their mixture of mystery and oddity that has been crafted over a lifetime of carnie-style clowning.
The host for the night will be the wonderful Betty Grumble, who will share with the audience her wonderful dance and performance art as well as her wonderful world of witchery.
This month’s La Vie Royale takes place on September 24, and all tickets afford the convivial ritual of bottomless wine, passed and poured freely until the velvet curtains close.
