Brisbane-based Bartender Andie Bulley has been working at Savile Row for two years and has been appointed by Monnet Cognac as its new Cognac Expert Ambassador in Australia.
Andie has been responsible for Savile Row’s cocktail production and is also in charge of the bar’s extensive training program providing sessions for spirit education, cocktail masterclasses, and whisky masterclasses.
In addition Andie has made a name for herself on the competition circuit, being a finalist in several national cocktail competitions, including the coveted World Class Top 5 in Australia. She has collaborated on the creation of highly successful pop-up club nights that have captivated audiences across various locations throughout Australia.
As the Cognac Expert Ambassador with Monnet Andie will be working to educate Australians on how to enjoy this Cognac, by leading unique masterclasses, curating one-of-a-kind cocktail creations, and communicating the importance that Cognac plays in the spirit world through a widespread PR campaign.
Monnet aims to bring some freshness and an alternative perspective to the consumption of Cognac in Australia, through education and the creation of unique cocktails that highlight its diverse flavour profiles.
Andie said: “I haven’t always loved Cognac. I came across the spirit in the last three years when I was working and someone suggested that I try it, after expressing my love for floral notes in whiskey. After that, I was hooked. It’s now my go-to spirit when I’m working, and the one I love recommending most to guests.
“This is a great opportunity to work alongside a brand I value, and a spirit I genuinely believe deserves more advocacy within Australia.”
Monnet Cognac’s Marketing Manager, Thomas Vigouroux added: “Andie brings a unique perspective to the world of Cognac, having honed her expertise at various bars across Australia and is renowned for her attention to detail and pursuit of perfection in all of her cocktail creations.
“We are looking forward to working with her to educate younger Australian consumers on the versatile spirit that is Monnet Cognac.”
