Grey Goose’s world-first travelling summer pop-up, the Fountain of Goose, has been described as a huge success by the premium vodka brand.
The pop-up bar has been touring Australia over the past few months, making five-day stops on the Gold Coast in October, Sydney in November and Melbourne in December.
Within the bar, which doubled as a sculptural working fountain, Grey Goose served 17,000 complimentary samples of vodka lime sodas to guests. In Sydney and Melbourne’s locations, a limited edition Grey Goose x Gelato Messina Espresso Martini Gelato was served, with 1,800 scoops enjoyed at the Fountain.
Grey Goose said: “With thousands of visitors and samples throughout the Fountain of Goose’s journey, this is one of the most successful Grey Goose experiential undertakings in Australia to date.”
Contributing to this success was the charming French architecture of the Fountain and Riviera feel of the striped deck chairs and umbrellas, offering the perfect setting to enjoy a drink. This was alongside a range of surprise performances and experiences throughout the tour, with everything from ballerinas with the signature Grey Goose blue pointe shoes, to vodka magic from world famous magician Dom Chambers.
Adding to the delight was a wishing well, where visitors were given a Grey Goose coin to toss. Throughout the activation, 12,000 coins were tossed.
Grey Goose said this was intended to encourage guests “to make a wish and ‘Live Victoriously’ with joie de vivre.”
The Fountain also hosted special events, including a GQ x Vogue VIP night and a tastemaker VIP night in Sydney. At these nights over 150 guests enjoyed Grey Goose specialty summer cocktails, like Le Grand Fizz and Watermelon Rose Spritz.
Topping off the activation was exclusive partnerships with local bar venues “hand selected” by Grey Goose. Fountain visitors could redeem a token at these venues to receive a specialty cocktail and keep the summer celebration going, in line with the aim of the activation.
