While Victorians hope for good news tomorrow that the five-day lockdown will come to an end, we can all do our bit and help the state’s bars make it through this third lockdown within 12 months.
One of the simplest ways to help is through buying gift vouchers which can then be used once the bars re-open. These give venues much needed cashflow, especially having missed the bumper weekend of Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day.
Yesterday Whisky & Alement launched a virtual event and a new collection from independent better Hidden Spirits via its online shop.
Virtual Event: The Entire Liquid Treasures ‘Living World’ Collection, presented by Vincent Löhn. The venue’s importing arm Independent Whisky Company is now the official Australian importer of Liquid Treasures.
The bar is posting tasting packs Australia-wide so anyone in Australia can get involved in this virtual whisky tasting live from Limbury, Germany and hosted by Whisky & Alement’s Miranda Lidgerwood and Julian White.

HS also released their first collection titled ‘The Seekers’ this month, however only two sets were allocated to Australia. One set has already sold to a private collector and the second is reserved for three intimate tastings at Melbourne Whisky Room next week.
