In light of the extremely challenging times the on-premise industry finds itself in, Bars and Clubs sister title, Australian Hotelier has launched #StrongerTogether, a resource hub for operators and venue staff, where you can find information to help navigate through the new landscape the sectors finds itself in.
In what are unprecedented times for on-premise venues throughout Australia, pub and bar operators have seen their trade restricted severely to takeaway and delivery sales of food and alcohol only. With the spread of COVID-19 encroaching on our way of life so quickly, operators were given little warning of the need for a shutdown of their venues. As such, we are all wading through uncharted waters.
To assist in this new trading environment, Australian Hotelier, along with sponsors like JLL Hotels & Hospitality and Kaddy, has launched #StrongerTogether, a resource hub where on-premise operators and their staff can find useful and practical information on how to access government subsidies and other financial support; advice on how to pivot your business; updates on the regulatory environment; and initiatives launched within the industry to support venues and their staff.
#StrongerTogether is constantly being updated, and you can already find a vast trove of resources here.
You can find pieces on how to promote a takeaway offering for the first time; a list of resources available to staff who have lost employment or had their hours reduced severely; and examples of how businesses have made the most of pivoting to takeaway and delivery sales, among many other helpful pieces.
Without doubt this is going to be one of the toughest challenges the industry has ever had to face, and Australian Hotelier is here to support the on-premise in any way that it can, so that once venues can re-open their doors, they can do so being as well prepared as possible.
We look forward to raising our glasses with you once more, as we are indeed #StrongerTogether.
