This Sydney event is aimed at celebrating women’s achievements in the emerging Australian craft distilling industry and hopes to inspire people to support the small number of women involved in the local distilling movement. All are welcome to attend, with tickets including food, cocktail on arrival, spirits flight, wine and beer.
Female guest speakers include:
- Dervilla McGowan – Owner / Distiller at Anther Spirits
- Heather Tillott – Head Distiller at Sullivan’s Cove
- Melanie Sheard – Owner / Distiller at Imbue Distillery
- Sarah Walker – Distiller at Timboon Railway Shed Distillery
- Claire Van Vuuren – Owner / Head Chef at Bloodwood Newtown / Women in Hospitality ‘WOHO’

The event will be hosted by Abby Roennfeldt ‘Just Abby’, National Brand Ambassador at Nip of Courage from Adelaide bar Hades Hula House. A specialty menu designed by Bloodwood’s Claire Van Vuuren will match spirits tastings throughout the event.
Hundreds of incredible ciders made across the country from 100 per cent Australian-grown fruit will be highlighted on the inaugural Australian Cider Day, in a bid to further boost understanding about product origin in the industry. It’s a day to explore the products and support local Australian farmers and producers.
The new event comes shortly after Cider Australia’s launch of the ‘100 per cent Australian Grown trust mark’, that proves a cider is made locally with Australian grown produce.

Is there anything better than a tasty, well balanced cocktail? We think not. World Cocktail Day is a time to appreciate the art of the cocktail and the innovator mixologists who create them. Celebrating this one is as fun for you as it is for the consumer – think special menus and experimental concoctions. Get inspired now with our cocktail recipe collection here.
This one may not necessarily be Australian, but why should we miss out on the fun? While wine is a great tool to mark occasions, National Wine Day is perfect for opening up something special and celebrating the wine itself. Good wine deserves to be enjoyed in it’s own right too.
With COVID-19 restrictions keeping us home, you could mark National Wine Day by tuning into a virtual wine tasting hosted by any number of our talented local winemakers. Got stock at your bar to share? You could even host your own!
What a day this is, a celebration for the powerhouse that is gin! The category is booming right now as we all know, so there’s many products you could choose to mark the occasion. But with the current COVID-19 pandemic and it’s impact on the economy, why not take the opportunity to support a local producer? Australia’s Gindustry is recognised the world over for it’s quality and innovation, that’s sure worth celebrating!
