New South Australian gin launches

Threefold Gin

South Australia is becoming something of a gin hub, with a number of award-winning gins hailing from the state and the promise of more to come.

And a new gin has joined the market, with the team from Threefold Distilling finally launching its first Aromatic Gin, having spent 12 months distilling, tasting and testing to create their perfect recipe.

The team have worked meticulously on the recipe for the Aromatic Gin and after all the tasting and testing decided on 11 botanicals, which they say gives “a gin full of flavour, that makes an incredible gin and tonic”.

Threefold Founder and Distiller, Luke Fleming, said: “We have created Threefold with the goal of building a brand that genuinely celebrates the spirit of bringing people together.

“Our first release ‘Aromatic Gin’ presents direct and delicious flavours of grapefruit, rosemary and lavender to create a gin that is truly greater than the sum of its parts.”

In terms of tasting notes, the team said: “A delicate piney freshness accompanied by a citrusy bouquet of grapefruit, orange and lemon. Hints of floral notes courtesy of lavender and a savoury flavour from an abundance of garden fresh rosemary.

“A touch of native wattleseed for a rich mouthfeel and both pepperberry and pink pepper to provide a well-rounded and aromatic gin.”

The gin has already proved popular with and been embraced by a number of key South Australian venues including Paloma Bar and Pantry, Malt & Juniper, Hains & Co and Maybe Mae.
