Featuring a new menu and new cocktails, Bar Patrón is the only partnership with Patrón Tequila of its kind globally.
Bar Patrón, located at Sydney’s Circular Quay will reopen its doors tomorrow at 12pm.
Described as ‘a flagship of the Pacific Concepts restaurant group’, Bar Patrón boasts an authentic Mexican menu, and a $100 ‘Millionaire’s Margarita.’
Pacific Concepts President Frank Tucker was delighted to be reopening the venue.
“With interstate and international borders reopen, tourists coming back to Circular Quay and workers returning to the city, we can confidently reopen and bring a reinvigorated Bar Patrón experience to Sydneysiders and visitors to our beautiful city,” Frank said.
“Bar Patrón is a Sydney institution; it is one of the founding pillars of the city’s contemporary Mexican dining scene.”
The new menu has been overseen by Pacific Concepts Food & Beverage Director Molly Haranis and Culinary Director Gabor Denes, alongside ‘Executive Chef Mexican Concepts’ Manuel Diaz.
Unsurprisingly, the drinks offering centres around Patrón Tequilas and cocktails, with the ‘Millionaire’s Margarita’ containing Patrón Gran Burdeos, Remy Martin Louis XIII Cognac, Grand Marnier Cuvée Du Cent Cinquantenaire and a garnish of gold leaf.
Another eye-catching offering is the nitrogen chilled ‘Platinum Martini’ ($49), which uses Gran Patrón Platinum and Glacier Cut Vodka, and is served at table.
Limited-edition Tequilas, unavailable anywhere else will also be served, as will ultra-rare Tequila bottlings, including the aged Patrón En Lalique Serie 1 and Serie 2 (each of which run to $990 a serve).
More affordable options are also included, with the ‘Patrón Classic Margarita’ ($22) featuring a mix of Patrón Silver, Patrón Orange Citronage, house-made lime sherbet and fresh lime juice. A seasonal frozen Margarita will also be offered, as the menu has been redeveloped to appeal a little more to the casual diner and drinker.
The food offering is driven by fresh seafood, with scallop ceviche, tuna ensalada and octopus huarache all on the menu, with ‘Lobster al Patrón’ – eastern rock lobster served with a creamy Tequila sauce. The trending dish of birria tacos features, as does Wagyu steak, and eggplant-based carnitas as a vegetarian option.
Bar Patrón first opened in 2018, when it was welcomed as a refreshing change to the Tex-Mex fare that had dominated Mexican cuisine in the New South Wales capital.
“We anticipate our loyal guests will return and new customers will be keen to explore the much talked about Bar Patrón experience, including our world-class views, our one-of-a-kind Patrón Tequila experience, premium Margaritas, and a menu of bold dishes and quintessential flavours,” Frank Tucker concluded.
Bar Patrón is located at 2 Philip Street, Circular Quay, Sydney. The venue is open 12pm to 11pm, Wednesday to Saturday.
