After selling out earlier this year Cape Byron Distillery’s Chardonnay Cask Australian Single Malt Whisky is back, and just in time for festive season.
The whisky sees Cape Byron’s classic single malt whisky, which has been aged in ex-Heaven Hill Bourbon casks, finished in selected Chardonnay casks chosen from Australian wine regions.
The classic single malt was developed by Cape Byron Distillery Founder and Distiller Eddie Brook, alongside one of Scotland’s most awarded Master Distillers, Jim McEwan.
Eddie said: “We have been waiting for this moment for over three years now, and the whisky we created is sensational. I am so proud of our distilling team and the amount of innovation, passion and dedication it took to create such a special and truly Australian single malt Whisky. It is one of a kind, and we are so proud.”
Batch 002 of the Chardonnay cask is a very limited release of just 630 bottles, but it is available for bars now, and The Original is also available.
There will be more expressions released throughout the next year.
