Citadelle wants you to ‘draw them like one of your French gins’

For many of us across Australia, lockdown had us bored as hell and desperate for something to do.

If you’re like me and spent that time testing out your artistic abilities, we may have found the perfect competition for you. French spirit producer Maison Ferrand has put out the call to ‘draw me like one of your French gins,’ running a contest to design a limited edition bottle label for their brand, Citadelle Gin.

The international competition asks entrants to create a label with their creative interpretation of the theme ‘Made in France.’

According to the competition website: “With this theme, Citadelle celebrates the French lifestyle through the eyes of artists from different cultures and backgrounds.”

Here’s how the competition works: entrants upload their designs using a template (available here). Every upload is automatically posted to Citadelle’s Facebook page, where the public can vote for their favourite – every like is a vote. Voting ends on July 5, when the Top Six most voted entries will be sent to a judging panel to determine the final winner.

The overall winner will have their design printed on 300 limited edition bottles of Citadelle Gin, to be sold at the brand’s home at The Chateau de Bonbonnet in Cognac, France. All proceeds will be donated to the winner’s charity of choice. It’s not only an opportunity for your art, but also a chance to make a real difference to a cause you believe in.

Winners will also receive 12 of the limited edition bottles (to show off to everyone you know, of course), while those who place second to sixth will receive a Citadelle Gin gift pack.

Find more information and submit your designs at the competition page here.

But hurry, entries close super soon – design uploads close June 30, and voting closes on Facebook July 5.
