Darlinghurst’s Parisian-inspired whiskey and ice cream pop up

Avid TikTok users might remember Folderol, a Parisian wine and ice cream bar that found its fame earlier this year after a series of viral TikTok’s. Over summer, content creators flocked to the 11th arrondissement to sip wine and eat ice cream on the curbs of the Parisian street, later attracting a “no TikTok” sign on the red-fronted building.

This November, Sheep Dog Peanut Butter Whiskey is bringing a taste of Europe to the streets of Sydney with its own spin on the TikTok-famous trend. Sheep Dog is pairing with Elato Ice Cream to transform Darlinghurst’s The Mayflower into a hub for ice cream lovers with a month-long Espresso Wooftini and ice cream pop up.

“From the charming back alleys to the picturesque tree-lined streets, Darlinghurst offers the perfect location and vibe to bring this European trend to life in Sydney,” says Kevin Ly, Owner of The Mayflower.

The heart of the pop up is Sheep Dog’s Espresso Wooftini, a fun take on the classic Espresso Martini that swaps out vodka for Sheep Dog Peanut Butter Whiskey. The special cocktail is designed to be paired with artisanal Elato Ice Cream, with the choice of triple vanilla or the award-winning fig ripple.

“If you like figs, you’ll love the combination of Elato’s fig ripple ice cream, which recently won best ice cream at the Victorian Dairy Awards, with Sheep Dog Peanut Butter Whiskey,” says Roz Kaldor-Aroni, Founder and CEO of Elato.

“It’s like eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich designed for grown-ups, with sweet fig jam plus ice cream oozing through the warm deep flavour of sweetened peanut flavoured whiskey.”

For an extra sense of indulgence, visitors to the pop up will also have the chance to try a Woofogato, Sheep Dog’s take on the popular affogato featuring Sheep Dog Peanut Butter Whiskey poured over ice cream.

“The wacky creations with Sheep Dog are unlimited. As summer heats up, ditch the irish cream and indulge your senses in Sheep Dog Peanut Butter Whiskey over ice cream. It’s sure to raise the woof this silly season,” says the team behind Sheep Dog.

Pop up at The Mayflower

Tomorrow, to celebrate the launch of the pop up, Sheep Dog will be giving away the first 500 Espresso Wooftinis and ice creams on the house. The collaboration will run every Thursday for the rest of the month from 5:30pm – 8pm, only available at The Mayflower in Darlinghurst.
