When a renowned distillery and winery are located just a few hundred metres from each other, it was always going to be a case of when, not if, a new gin with a wine finish would be released.
And sure enough Forty Spotted Gin, located a short barrel-roll from Frogmore Creek Winery just outside Hobart in Tasmania, has unveiled its limited release Pinot Noir Gin.
The gin combines the refreshing balance of juniper with the wine’s pepperberry for a drink that delivers ‘a harmony of sweetness and tang’.
Forty Spotted Head Distiller, Rick Hoedjes, said: “Working with a delightful Pinot Noir to create this limited release has been a very exciting highlight for the Forty Spotted Gin team. As special as this release is to me, I personally am more excited to see how many beautiful moments this gin will create in homes.
“It becomes more than just a spirit or a beverage, but also a gift from a loved one, a reason to unwind, a chance to reconnect with family and friends and an opportunity to express gratitude to one another.”
This Pinot Noir Gin is the latest to be put into the striking new bottle design from Forty Spotted, brought to life by Australian brand agency, Boldinc. The design sees the upright bottle facing south, paying homage to Forty Spotted’s home at the bottom of the world in Tasmania.
Available now for bars and retailers around Australia, but get in quick as there are only 2500 of this limited edition gin.
