Funlab launches Hijinx Hotel in Sydney

Hijinx Hotel

The team at Funlab has launched its latest venue, Hijinx Hotel, featuring retro décor a faux hotel lobby, three cocktail bars and 15 quick-play challenge rooms.

The venue opened last week with a line-up of Sydney celebs, influencers and media personalities, with launch beverage partner Casamigos Tequila serving up watermelon, Tommy’s and classic margaritas.

With 10 challenge rooms open at launch and a further five to be unveiled in the weeks to follow, guests can purchase a 30 minute game session in teams of 2-6 players. Sessions include a ‘course’ of five challenge rooms at four minutes per room and lasting 20 minutes in total, with 10 minutes to move between rooms. The venue’s three bars, including the neon-lit Hotel Lobby Bar and the Caravan Beer Garden plus the signature Bubble and Pop cocktail, described as “a delectable concoction of tequila, white chocolate, passionfruit, lemon, and egg white, topped with a sweetly scented bubble that bursts and gives way to a dazzling suspended vapour”.

Blaise Witnish, Chief Growth & Innovation Officer at Funlab, is incredibly excited for the concept to come to life for Sydneysiders to experience. Witnish says,“Hijinx Hotel is like nothing we’ve ever done, or that the world has ever seen before. It’s perfect for the young and young at heart who are wildly sentimental or love a throwback.

Not only are we stoked to be giving the precinct this brand new and exciting concept, we think the addition of our biggest EVER Holey Moley venue will add even more fun-factor to Alexandria, and the existing Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq venue, and further establish it as the perfect place for an epic day or night out.

There are so many curated details to make every aspect of the precinct memorable, and of course, a blast to experience. The team has let their imaginations run wild and we are thrilled to finally open the doors on Hijinx Hotel and the mega Holey Moley.”

Located at 75 O’Riordan St, Alexandria, the Hijinx Hotel is now open.
