In pictures: The Doss House Guinness & Oyster festival

The Doss House recently partnered with Colin Fassnidge and East 33 to host the inaugural Guinness & Oyster festival in The Rocks.

The festival saw events and activations throughout the sandstone courtyards off Kendall Lane, as well as music and entertainment along George Street.

The Guinness & Oyster Festival was created by Ciara Doran from Heritage House Co., the owner of The Doss House and Frank Mac’s, with support from Colin and seafood expert John Susman.

Inspired by Galway’s International Oyster Festival, one of Ireland’s most popular food festivals, Ciara is hoping to make this festival an annual event.

“Although the concept of pairing oysters with Guinness might be new to many people, I have no doubt the taste the salty brine of an oyster alongside a creamy Guinness converted many. I’m Irish and both my bars The Doss House and Frank Mac’s have Irish influences in them, so this festival feels like an authentic celebration of my Irish heritage,” Ciara said.

The event proved a huge success with around 5000 people attending over the two days, with around 10,000 pints of Guinness sold and about 3500 oysters shucked.
