Australian-made Rhubarb aperitif brand, Rhubi, is challenging bartenders and venues in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and Perth to #JustAddRhubi as a secret sauce in their cocktail making, as part of a national competition.
Co-Founder Evan Stroeve is leading the charge, and will be sharing his first cocktail recipe and video on Rhubi’s social channels this week. The competition will give venues and bartenders the chance to win over $3000 in prizes.
Evan said: “The #JustAddRhubi secret sauce challenge came about because we wanted to build on the simplicity of our ‘Just Add Soda’ cocktail formula.
“This challenge is all about celebrating the versatility and ease of switching out key ingredients for Rhubi in classic cocktails. We can’t wait for Aussies to enjoy Rhubi in their favourite Margarita, Cosmo, Sour, or Negroni, especially with the hot summer days coming up fast.”
For an extra dose of inspiration, ALIA finalist, industry legend and venue owner of Door Knock, Nat Ng is also creating her own ‘secret sauce’ cocktail which will be released across Rhubi’s socials in the coming weeks.
To be eligible to take part in the program, the venue/bartender must:
- Sign up with their Vanguard representative
- Feature a RHUBI switch as a promoted serve in venue (menu/boards/display)
- Increased volume % vs same period LY
- Post on social with #JustAddRhubi and tag @rhubimistelle
The winning bartender will receive $500 and Rhubi merchandise. The winning venues from each city will receive an exclusive bespoke ‘Day Out with Rhubi’ valued at $1000, and a Rhubi stock contribution.
