Leading bars and bartenders will bring their expertise to Brisbane as part of the new Bar Swap Series hosted by W Brisbane’s Living Room Bar, with renowned Sydney bar Maybe Sammy launching the new series.
The first event in the series will take place on Thursday 27 February, when Living Room Bar’s Bar Manager Francesco Squillacioti will be joined by Maybe Sammy Venue Manager Giorgio Gervasoni for a night of innovative mixology.
Queenslanders will have the opportunity to sample two cocktails from the acclaimed Grand Maybe Sammy Hotel cocktail menu alongside two of Living Room Bar’s signature cocktails.
The first Maybe Sammy cocktail, Check In, is a gin-based highball that offers a smooth, refreshing take on the classic Americano, crafted with Hendrick’s Gin, Cocchi Americano, fig, hibiscus and Fever-Tree Soda Water.
Balancing fruity sweetness and tangy sourness, Sauna Room will also be available, crafted with Vanilla Grey Goose Vodka, peach wine, galangal, kalamansi and eucalyptus oil.

Offering a salty, savoury umami flavour with subtle vegetal notes, Francesco will be serving up Greek Freak in a pony glass Martini-style, using Herradura Blanco, kalamata olives distillate, seaweed dry vermouth and capsicum vinegar.
Rounding out the offering is Living Room Bar’s refreshing high-ball style cocktail Mango Hill, made with vodka, lacto-fermented strawberries, sencha tea and mango soda.
Living Room Bar’s Bar Swap Series will be the third stop in Maybe Sammy’s February Australia tour, which kicked off at Leyla Bar in Canberra last Thursday and includes a stop at Caretaker’s Cottage in Melbourne on Sunday, 16 February.
