The Maybe Group has partnered with Public Hospitality on El Primo Sanchez, a Mexican bar that will open inside The Rose Hotel, Paddington, this December.
The fifth venue in the Maybe Group’s portfolio, El Primo Sanchez is slated to takeover the ground floor of the Rose Hotel, which is owned and operated by Public Hospitality.
Vince Lombardo, founder of the Maybe Group, said the collaboration was a good fit for both organisations.
“We love what Public Hospitality do with their venues and it’s been fun working with Anna and the team so we can’t wait to bring El Primo Sanchez to life with them,” Vince said.
“You can still expect the same high level of hospitality, playful energy, brilliant cocktails and attention to detail as our other bars. It will just be wrapped up into a Mexican environment with more of a laidback pub vibe than a high-end cocktail bar.”
Cocktails are due to be served in traditional terracotta jarrito jugs, with an emphasis on Mexican and Latino ingredients in the drinks offering.
An informal food menu will focus on authentic Mexican dishes, ranging from smaller plates of tacos, through to more substantial offerings.
Anna Touhy, Group General Manager of F&B for Public Hospitality, is also enthused by the partnership.
“We are excited to begin our journey with The Maybe Group in our beloved Rose Hotel in Paddington. The Maybe team have developed world acclaimed products which we have admired for some time,” Anna said.
Indications appear to be that the two groups will be working together on further projects in the future.
“El Primo Sanchez will complement our newly opened lifestyle hotel, Oxford House and add further energy to Oxford Street,” Anna added.
Indeed, Public Hospitality also operates two adjoining properties, and is hoping that this partnership can help to spark a revival to the Paddington end of Oxford Street.
The Rose Hotel, home of El Primo Sanchez, is located at 27-33 Oxford Street. The hotel will be open for five nights a week, plus two lunches, with exact opening days still to be determined.
