Hickson House Distillery and Bar has just celebrated its first birthday after enjoying a year that offered both challenges but amazing highlights.
Bars and Clubs spoke to Julian Train, Mikey Enright and Distiller Tim Stones about how the last 12 months have shaped up.
We also spoke about some of the most popular cocktail recipes in the bar, which they have shared with us. Take a look:
Hickson Road Summer Cup
Ingredients:
- 60ml Hickson Rd. Summer Cup
- 120ml Ginger Ale
Directions:
- Fill highball glass with cubed ice
- Pour all liquid to the wash line and stir
- Garnish with mint sprig, fresh berries and cucumber slice
Bonfire Night
Ingredients:
- 30ml Hickson Rd Harbour Strength Gin
- 15ml Mezcal
- 5ml Peated Whisky
- 15ml Charred Pineapple Syrup
Directions:
- Stir and strain into lowball glass over a block of ice
- Garnish with confit pineapple cube
Wild Rosé Negroni
Ingredients:
- 60ml Hickson Rd. Summer Cup
- 30ml Campari
Directions:
- Add all liquid into mixing glass with cubed ice
- Stir 10-12 times
- Strain over a large cube in a rocks glass
- Garnish with orange zest (penny shape)
Summer Royale
Ingredients:
- 30ml Hickson Rd. Summer Cup
- 120ml Champagne
Directions:
- Build all liquid in a flute glass
- Garnish with raspberry
