Pub Leaders Summit program to help bar owners as well

Some details of the 2024 Pub Leaders Summit program have been revealed, and it is one that should appeal to bar owners as well, offering insights, tips and advice to help you run a better business.

This year’s Pub Leaders Summit will run 9-10 September at Waterview in Bicentennial Park, Sydney Olympic Park, and the topline program can now be revealed. Here are the topics that will be covered through panel discussions and presentations:

Modern marketing: Tik Tok, AI and placemaking
Capturing the right audience and making your venue stand out from others is a constantly evolving skill – one that harnesses new technologies and strategies quicker than any other form of operations. Our panel will discuss what is having the most cut-through in venue marketing right now.

In focus: Privacy and cyber security
Consumer data is an incredibly useful tool, but is your storage and security up to scratch? Our cybersecurity expert highlights the strategies that will minimise the chances of a data breach or hack affecting your business.

Presentation: Dealing with a Data Breach
Porter Novelli will be presenting on how to protect your reputation when you are impacted by a cyber incident. This will cover crisis communication preparation and strategy, rapid response, customer experience considerations and reputational recovery to limit damage.

Food for thought: Dining trends and the pricing conundrum
Produce and utility prices continue to soar at a time when diners have less money to spend and want more bang for their buck. Our panel will discuss challenges and opportunities around food, and the increasing importance surrounding customer experience.

In focus: The Shifting Drinks Landscape
Patrons are drinking less and differently, and beer and spirits excises are making a simple round more expensive than ever. How is that affecting your bar offering and your bottom line?

Presentation: How Can I Make My Venue Profitable?
How to budget and forecast costs to maximise profit, and be proactive with your numbers.

In focus: Entertainment
From live sport to live music to arcade games, patrons are screaming out for more entertainment options, and pubs are ideally placed to offer fun new ways for people to socialise.

Buying In: Creating the Next Generation of Leaders
How to foster the talent coming through your venues, and encourage a long career with your business.
