Bradley Wynne, Gabe Neri, and Dustin Hefford have opened Slowpoke Lounge and Lookout in Collingwood. Set between co-working space The Commons’ Collingwood and Inner Studio, the rooftop venue is set up for success for after work drinks and boasts a 360-degree view of Melbourne’s inner north.

Wynne, Neri, and Hefford share backgrounds in event production, brand development, and immersive experiences with brands and festivals such as Daybreak festival, Tsu Lange Yor, 524 Flinders, and Espace Noir.

“For years, Daybreak had been searching for the perfect opportunity to build something that could last a little longer – a way to establish some permanency to the party,” the team posted on Instagram.

“After 2 years of hard work, we can finally share with you our new creation – a rooftop bar in the heart of Collingwood with 360 panoramic views, built from scratch and built to last.”

“Slowpoke represents our love for connecting the dots, mixing the old, the new, the futuristic, and the forgotten. Slowpoke is not just a venue but a vehicle for storytelling. It’s a space that’s about leaning into the magic of life and finding moments that feel both nostalgic and new.”

Wynne led the venue design, melding mid-century modern lines with a touch of brutalism, and 1970s Italian glamour. “We wanted Slowpoke to feel like an extension of your living room – a cosy, familiar place where both old and new friends can gather, reflect, and dream,” he says.

Cocktail enthusiast and self-described “alchemist” Harry Costello (ex-Lounge, Hugs & Kisses, Bar Romantica) joins the team behind the bar. He has curated a seasonal menu with cocktails including the hazelnut espresso martini, an elderflower paloma, and a spiked yerba mate.

The venue is now open, and bookings will open from April onwards.
