SouthTrade takes on Poor Toms’ sales and distribution

SouthTrade International continues to expand its portfolio, taking on the exclusive sales and distribution of Poor Toms for bars across the country.

Poor Toms is distilled in Marrickville, Sydney and SouthTrade Managing Director Ray Noble welcomed the brand, highlighting that one out of every three super-premium gins purchased now a local brand.

“I am delighted to announce Poor Toms is joining the SouthTrade family,” Noble said.

“Poor Toms represents everything we love about the local craft spirits category in Australia; they have outstanding liquids, a brand that stands for something beyond their postcode and they are highly ambitious.

Both of these brands stand as category leaders and pioneers in their own right and are now suitably joined in our portfolio by Marrickville’s Poor Toms Gin.

Poor Toms was founded by two friends Griffin Blumer and Jesse Kennedy who are both excited about the growth potential for the brand, now that SouthTrade is involved.

Blumer said: “We make drinks that uniquely capture the time and place that we live in. We are Sydney’s gin, and we want to share that special essence with Australia and the world.

“It’s been an absurd journey for us. As young outsiders we built the brand from nothing. This incredible partnership with Australia’s fastest growing distributor will allow us to focus on what we do best – bringing real pleasure to people’s lives with audacious and honest spirits.”
