The Wiseman Straight Bourbon and The Wiseman Rye have been crafted by Master Blender John Rhea, a 40-year industry veteran and Bourbon Hall of Famer who came out of retirement to create these award-winning spirits.
The Wiseman Straight Bourbon was awarded Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2022 and 2023 and is described as offering caramel aromas, warming allspice, a delicate sprinkle of citrus and a subtle hint of oak. The Bourbon can be sipped neat or used to elevate your favourite Bourbon cocktails.
With The Wiseman Rye you have a rich and spicy nose with aromas of fresh rye bread, hints of caramel and cinnamon and a hint of English walnut.
At the heart of these exceptional spirits stands the legendary Bourbon Hall of Fame Master Blender John Rhea.
After an illustrious 40-year career receiving countless accolades, John came out of retirement in 2021 to lend his vast knowledge and expertise to The Wiseman and The Wiseman Rye. With an unwavering passion for the craft and an impeccable palate, John carefully curated the finest ingredients to create extraordinary drinking experiences.

The Wiseman Bourbon Wise Chai New Fashioned
Ingredients:
- 60 ml The Wiseman Bourbon
- 15 ml chai syrup or sugar syrup
- 1x chai tea bag
- 2 dashes aromatic bitters
- Orange peel, cinnamon stick and star anise for garnish
Directions:
- Brew one bag of chai tea, add The Wiseman Bourbon and chai syrup and heat until dissolved.
- Stir in a mixing glass with ice and strain into an Old Fashioned glass over an ice block, sphere or cubes.
- Garnish with orange peel, star anise and a smoking cinnamon stick
The Wiseman Rye | The Night Owl Martini
Ingredients:
- 44 ml The Wiseman Rye
- 30 ml espresso
- 20 ml coffee liqueur
- 2 dashes of chocolate bitters
Directions:
- Add all ingredients into a shaker with ice, then shake well for 1 minute.
- Pour into a coupe glass.
- Garnish with espresso beans.
