Cocktails, we all love them and undoubtedly you’ll know which are the most popular cocktails in your bar, but which are the world’s favourite cocktails?
Well, the good people of Fentimans decided to find out and set about creating a data set that would help decide which cocktails the public loved the most. That saw the creation of a global index, which analysed 36 different cocktail from all over the globe on a number of different metrics.
Fentimans looked at the number of hashtags associated with each cocktail on both Instagram and TikTok as well as global Google Search Data to discover monthly search volume.
Finally, Fentimans used a Twitter sentiment analysis tool to understand more about the positivity rating of each. Google Trends has also been used to determine the top ten most popular in every country around the world.
According to the Fentimans research, these are the world’s 10 most loved cocktails:
- Margarita
- Mojito
- Pornstar Martini
- Sangria
- Martini
- Caipirinha
- Aperol Spritz
- Old Fashioned
- Pina Colada
- Cosmopolitan
