Twisting cocktails with Cognac

Rémy Martin has launched 1738 Accord Royal Cognac in Australia, which celebrates 300 years of Cognac-making, and has been crafted to be a Cognac that lends itself to a variety of drinking styles and occasions.

The Cognac celebrates 300 years of Cognac making and the Royal Approval from King Louis XV, that Rémy Martin received in 1738, just 14 years after founding his first vineyard. To create this Cognac, the House of Rémy Martin revisited original methods and the result is an aromatic, smooth, oaky Cognac, developed through a rigorous selection of eaux-de-vie.

Describing the Cognac Rémy Martin says it is “full of floral, fruity, spicy and toasted flavours, 1738 Accord Royal lends itself to a wide range of tasting and occasions – served neat, on ice or in a cocktail”, adding it “brings a perfect balance of citrus flavours that really come to the fore in cocktails”.

As well as working in classic Cognac cocktails like a Sazerac, Sidecar, Vieux Carre or French Connection, Rémy Martin also suggests using the 1738 Royal Accord to twist up other classics, as you can see below.
