After a short break from Christmas and New Year, Bars and Clubs returns today, ready for another year of bringing you all the latest news and information regarding Australia’s bar, spirits, cocktail and hospitality industry.
Later this month it will be three years since the first COVID-19 case was recorded in Australia, and the virus continues to cause havoc around the country. But the industry has shown the power of its resilience and will be looking ahead to continuing its recovery from the pandemic, lockdowns and closures.
In the spirits world Australian spirits continue to grow and improve with the Australian Distillers Association continuing to expand. We’re also seeing exciting developments in the Australian agave space, with Top Shelf International’s huge agave farm in Queensland increasing in size and areas like Western Australia also looking at growing agave with a view to making spirits.
We will also see Penny Sippe’s Australian Cocktail Month return in May 2023, and we will continue to bring you all the details of this brilliant initiative and how you can get involved.
We will also maintain our focus on bringing you details of new bar openings, new spirit launches and talking to many of the incredible people who make this industry so vibrant and interesting. As our list of the most viewed stories from 2022 shows, there is a lot of interest in the people of this industry, but also the operational side of the business and the best that venues have to offer – so we will continue bringing you the stories you love.
