Never has it ever been harder to see the positives, especially when so much of the day we’re bombarded with doom and gloom, and restrictions to the lives we’re accustomed to.
Having struggled with it in the past, I am personally very passionate about mental health, and will admit that these unprecedented times are taking a toll.
This is an incredibly hard time, and if you’re finding it tough, you’re not alone.
But throughout everything, I am inspired by the little positive things coming from the industry. We’ve reported on some already, and are seeing more bits and pieces from the community every day.
Also loving to see the little ways we’re making each other giggle and feel connected to the industry right now. Even the smallest bright spots help, and with that in mind, we’ve made this week’s recipe a collection of things to give you a little pick-me-up in the times you need it most.
This is not trying to say ‘just be happy!’ because we know that is absolutely not helpful. But we hope this makes you smile at least a little bit.
When you have no customers, you’ve got to get creative, like this mum on Facebook did. Kind of reminds me of this scene from the Simpsons below.
As we reported in our resource article here, some of the advice we’ve been hearing is to try and use any other skills to find temporary work elsewhere.
