The best Australian spirits will be recognised at the 2018 Australian Distilled Spirits Awards (ADSA) in Melbourne on Thursday 22 March.
The 2018 ADSAs will be held at the Ormond Hall in Prahran, and see up to eight Champion Trophies awarded to local distillers from across the country – including the highly coveted Australian Distiller of the Year.
In 2017, Hoochery Distillery and Old Young’s – both from WA – were joint winners of the top gong, being named as the Champion Australian Distillers.
The formal proceedings will be immediately followed by the exclusive ‘High Spirits by Winning Tastes’ cocktail event, where some of Melbourne’s top mixologists will be showcasing their skills and serving top-notch cocktails featuring this year’s award-winning spirits.
Mixologists appearing at the High Spirits cocktail event include Trish Brew from Gin Palace, Lewis Halls from Bad Frankie, Chris Cornell from Whiskey + Alement, Chris Hysted-Adams from Black Pearl, and one of the talented staff from The Everleigh (TBC).
Tickets are available via Eventbrite for $95 and include cocktails and canapés.
