The Australian winner of the Chivas Masters was revealed last week, with The Baxter Inn’s Louis Macpherson taking out the top honours. He will head to London for the global final next month.
In the national final, Chivas Regal challenged bartenders to create two cocktails inspired by the themes of collaboration and generosity. Emily Andrew, Australian brand ambassador for Chivas Regal, said “Each of our six finalists impressed our judging panel with their bartending calibre and genuine passion for Chivas Regal. Louis’ impeccable performance sharing his blend of knowledge, creativity and innovation made him a standout winner on the night.”
Macpherson will now continue on to the Global Final in June where they will work with the best bartenders from around the world in London, attend private workshops from award-winning judges, and pick up skills that extending beyond bartending.
During this once-in-a-lifetime experience, Macpherson will also visit the Strathisla Distillery, home of Chivas Regal, where the 2018 Chivas Master will be crowned.
The global winner will receive an all-expenses paid trip to this year’s ‘Tales of The Cocktail 2018 in New Orleans’ and represent Chivas Regal on a global stage.
