Jenna Hemsworth will head to Amsterdam in two weeks to represent Australia in the Bacardi Legacy Global Cocktail Competition.
Hemsworth will join 42 other bartending peers from across the world in Amsterdam, with each no doubt harbouring dreams of winning the 11th Bacardi Legacy Global Final.
In early February, Hemsworth beat three of Australia’s top bartenders in the Australian national finals, emerging victorious with her drink ‘The Monarch’.
The Global Final will be held at Rode Hoed, located in the heart of Amsterdam’s historic canal district. A panel of top talent – including Julie Reiner, Yael Vengroff, Yao Lu, Ian Burrell, and last year’s winner Eric Van Beek – will decide who takes home the coveted trophy.
“It’s great to be bringing Legacy once again to Europe – and to the amazing city of Amsterdam,” said Dickie Cullimore, Bacardi Global Brand Ambassador.
“I can’t wait to see what this huge field of 2019 finalists shows us; each year we learn as much from them as they do from us. We’re going to see Legacy cocktails using the recently released Bacardi Añejo Cuatro rum for the first time; current and evolving rum cocktail trends as well as the incredible dedication and passion each competitor pours – literally – into their Legacy cocktail!
“Whoever takes home the prize at the end of the week, each and every one of the forty-three competitors will join our ever growing Bacardi Legacy ‘Gran Familia’”.
Both days of semi-finals (12 and 13 May) and the Grand Final (14 May) will be streamed live from the Bacardi Legacy Facebook page.
