Brix Distillers has released a landmark core range of Australian rums – and is sharing some cocktail inspiration for bartenders.
Brix Australian Rum Mai Tai
Ingredients:
- 60ml Brix Australian Rum
- 15ml orange curacao
- 20ml lime juice
- 20ml pineapple juice
- 10ml orgeat
- 5ml simple syrup
- Lime, pineapple wedge, pineapple leaves, Maraschino cherry for garnish
Directions:
- Add 45ml Brix Rum and all other ingredients to a cocktail shaker and fill with ice
- Shake hard until ice cold
- Strain into a rocks glass and fill with crushed ice
- Float remaining 15ml of Brix Rum over ice
- Garnish with lime, pineapple and cherry
Brix Cane Spirit Daiquiri
Ingredients:
- 45ml Brix Cane Spirit
- 30ml fresh lime
- 15ml simple syrup
- Lime wheel for garnish
Directions:
- Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker
- Add ice and shake until ice cold
- Double strain into a coupe glass
- Garnish with fresh or dehydrated lime wheel
Brix Spiced Rum Spiced & Stormy
Ingredients:
- 45ml Brix Spiced Rum
- 90ml ginger beer
- two or three dashes of Angostura Bitters
- two fresh lime wedges
- Additional lime wedge for garnish
Directions:
- To a tall glass, add Brix Spiced Rum and top with ice
- Add ginger beer and squeeze in fresh lime wedges
- Gently stir to combine
- Float bitters on top and add additional fresh lime wedge
